The dataset contains the experimental data files and the data processing files of the three Runs analysed in the paper "Towards a channel morphology for optimal sediment transfer". For each Run the measurements of slope (S), sediment discharge (Qs) and sediment samples of the substrate are provided. For each Run detailed information concerning the bed surface sediment texture are provided; precisely: the percentage of fractions composing the bed surface, the percentage of patches of the bed surface, the matlab codes for image processing for the sediment fractions detection, the thresholds for fractions' separation.
